Dr. Ipuge is a Tanzanian National with over 34 years of experience in all aspects of health care (service, academics, and research) in Tanzania. He possesses over 15 years of senior-level management experience in public health programs and reform of health services with a specific focus on health systems strengthening; He has worked at the Ministerial level in the MOH (Tanzania Mainland) leading the Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control, HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment; integration of health service delivery; human resources capacity development and Health Management Information systems.
